Who can restore original hardwood flooring in East Anglia?
- Essential Floor Care is a leading hardwood floor restoration company
- We specialise in hard wax oil or lacquer finishes
- We return free to fix any imperfections
When it comes to restoring original hardwood floors, the team here at Essential Floor Care are experts in the field. We provide dust-free cleaning, sanding and finishing, leaving no mess or a tell-tale dust smell behind.
We undertake a number of steps to ensure your hardwood floor looks as good as the day it was laid. Initially, we sand the floor using an H-rated advanced extraction system. This provides 99.9 per cent dust-free sanding.
Afterwards, we’ll apply hard wax oil protection (if that’s your preferred finishing). If not, you can also have lacquer. Both give a stunning finish to wooden floors.
How Long Does The Floor Have To Be Left?
If you have opted for a hard wax finish, you will have to allow it to cure for around five hours. After this time, you can walk on the floor. But don’t place furniture back until 12 hours have passed.
In the case of a lacquer finish, again, it’s best left for five hours before it can be stood on. When it comes to furniture, though, you’ll have to leave the floor for around 36 hours before sitting it back again.

Experts In Floor Restoration
As experts in restoring original hardwood floors, we also undertake other tasks when it comes to improving the look of hardwood flooring. One of these is filling in gaps between the wooden floorboards.
We achieve this by using wood splints from reclaimed floorboards. If your boards already look good, i.e. they don’t have any scratches, then we can simply clean them and re-apply the oil, so your flooring looks as good as new.
Here at Essential Floor Care, we also provide our customers with an annual maintenance service.
This keeps their hardwood floors looking as pristine as possible and ensures there is no major damage over time. In fact, don’t be surprised if visitors believe you have just had new hardwood floorboards put down – so effective is our regular servicing.
