Looking for a smarter look for your wood flooring?
Have you just revealed a wooden floor from beneath a floor covering, and it looks a bit worse for wear? Are your wood floors looking dull and need a bit of TLC? Or maybe they’re scratched and damaged from years of use?
Wood floors are a beautiful natural floor covering, but, like any type, with constant use, they will suffer from scratches and marks, ingrained dirt and dust, and lose their shine. There is also a growing trend of renovating older-style houses to reveal original wood floors but, having been covered up for a long time, they need some attention.
The good news is that Essential Floor Care’s experienced floor restoration team will have your wood floor looking like new in no time.

Bringing wood floors back to their former glory
Wood floors are made from different types of wood and, therefore, need different floor restoration treatments. Some wood floors will need sanding to take it back a layer to erase any scratches or damage, while others need the old wax oil or lacquer removed before being replaced and polished. We also offer specialist wood treatments to protect and preserve the wood for many years.
We offer five wood floor restoration packages, depending on what is best suited for your floor. These are:
1. Wood floor sanding and oiling. Our experienced team will sand the floor using an H-rated advanced extraction system for 99.9% dust-free sanding. Once the floor is silky smooth and free from any residual traces of dust, we will apply hard wax oil to protect the floor.
2. Wood floor sanding and lacquering. We prepare the floor the same way as above, then add a layer of lacquer to protect the wood and give it a brilliant shine.
3. Wood floor sanding and gap filling. We fill the gaps using wood splints made from reclaimed floorboards. Then it is sanded, ready for a hard wax oil or lacquer finish.
4. Wood cleaning and oiling. We will clean the floor and re-apply oil to bring it back to life.
5. The maintenance plan. Keep your floor looking its best year after year!
